Education

Hello, I’m Lucinda, and I’m 21 years old. I have always been interested in cinematography and storytelling. I’m currently studying Media and Entertainment Business (MEB) at Thomas More University. Before this, I studied Language and Literature for two years at the University of Antwerp. My focus was English combined with Theatre, Film, and Literature sciences (TFL). While the program was fascinating, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. I craved more practical, hands-on classes, which led me to switch to MEB.

Hobbies and dream

From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in the world of movies. I spent six years taking acting and speech classes, eight years doing ballet, and two years studying contemporary dance at the Art Academy August De Boeck (now KunstAs). Although I’ve stepped away from these hobbies, I’m now focusing on writing stories and rediscovering my love for acting. This time, I hope to work on TV or film projects.

My dream is to one day work on a film project that premieres at the Festival de Cannes. I’d also love to attend the Oscars. Seeing my name on the big screen would be a dream come true – the moment I know I’ve made it!

How film became my passion

My love for movies started when I watched Bridge to Terabithia (2007) as a child. Since then, I’ve been hooked on storytelling in all its forms. For me, movies are more than entertainment. They’re an escape, inspiration, and a way to see the world through different eyes. I also love discussing movies with others. Even if I don’t like a particular film, it’s always interesting to hear someone else’s opinion.

Finding inspiration

Outside of watching movies, I enjoy reading, listening to music, visiting museums, going out, and taking walks. I especially like observing people (not in a creepy way, of course!). Watching how people interact and move through the world often inspires my creative projects.

My blog

On my blog, you will find a mix of cinematic masterpieces and underrated classics that you won’t see on every recommendation list. I hope to inspire you to discover new films, share your thoughts, and join me on this journey through the world of movies.

Enjoy!
